Draft document
Draft — not legally reviewed. This document has been written to describe how the website actually works, but it has not been checked by a solicitor and is not yet the published policy. Do not rely on it for a transaction.
Who this notice is for
This notice covers business enquiries sent through this website. It applies to the person submitting the enquiry and to the company they represent.
Cronite Cast Limited supplies trade and business customers. This is not a consumer-facing shop, and the enquiry form is not intended for consumer purchases.
What the enquiry form collects
The form asks for the information needed to answer a wholesale enquiry and prepare a quotation. Required fields are your name, company, email address and a description of your requirements, plus a confirmation that you understand how the enquiry is handled.
Optional fields are telephone number, country or market, the format you are interested in, and quantity or frequency. Optional fields are not required, and leaving them blank will not prevent a reply.
The marketing consent checkbox is unticked by default. If you leave it unticked, your details are used only to answer the enquiry.
How the enquiry is used
Your details are used to respond to the enquiry, to discuss product options and specifications, and to prepare a written quotation if one is requested.
If a transaction follows, the information may be used to document the agreed terms and to meet record-keeping obligations. The detail of those obligations is being confirmed with the business’s advisers.
- Replying to your enquiry and any follow-up questions.
- Preparing and issuing a quotation against your stated requirements.
- Keeping a record of what was agreed if a transaction proceeds.
- Sending marketing only where you have separately opted in.
Where an enquiry goes
The form does not write to a database on this website. On submission, the enquiry is passed to the delivery integration configured for the site — an email delivery service or an internal endpoint — so that it reaches the people who answer enquiries.
The website and its delivery integration run on third-party infrastructure, which means enquiry data is processed by those providers on our behalf. The specific providers are recorded in the project documentation and will be named in this notice before launch.
To stop repeated automated submissions, the site also runs a rate limiter. It records a short, one-way hash of the network address a submission came from, with a count that expires within an hour, and a one-way hash of the email address, format and requirements in an enquiry for fifteen minutes so that a double submission is not sent twice. Neither hash can be read back to recover the enquiry or the address, and no enquiry text is stored. If the limiter is unavailable, the enquiry is still processed.
What this website does not do
The site does not run analytics, advertising or behavioural tracking, and it does not build profiles of visitors.
It does not sell or rent personal information, and it does not make automated decisions about enquirers. Every enquiry is read by a person.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies and does not use cookie-based tracking. There is therefore no cookie banner: there is nothing optional to consent to.
If analytics or marketing tools are added later, this notice and the consent approach must be updated first.
How long an enquiry is kept
Enquiries are not stored on this website. How long the received enquiry and any resulting correspondence are retained is being confirmed with the business’s advisers, and a defined period will be stated here before launch.
Where a transaction proceeds, records are kept for as long as the applicable accounting and record-keeping requirements demand.
Your rights
Depending on where you are based, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the information held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw marketing consent at any time.
Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect the reply to an enquiry you have already sent.
- Ask what information is held about you and receive a copy.
- Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected.
- Ask for information to be erased where there is no continuing obligation to keep it.
- Object to a particular use, or withdraw marketing consent.
- Complain to the relevant supervisory authority.
Contacting us about your information
A dedicated address for privacy requests is being confirmed and will be published here, together with the company’s registered details, before launch.
Until that address is published, this notice is a draft and should not be relied on as the final statement of how information is handled.
Changes to this notice
The version of this notice is stated at the top of the page. When the business’s arrangements change — a new delivery provider, retention period or contact address — this notice is updated and the version is incremented.
